This variety of melon, made by mixing different types of melons, is grown in Yubari, a town in northern Japan, hence it is known as Yubari Milan or Yubari King Milan and is widely used throughout Japan. It is very popular. The price of one kg of Ubari melon is up to Rs.

Yubari melons require a lot of care so they are grown in a safe greenhouse.

This fruit is also delicious in taste but the reason it is expensive is not because of its taste but because of the ancient tradition of giving gifts in Japanese and especially giving Yubari melon as a gift is considered a matter of great pride.
